The mission of Leadership Winston-Salem (LWS)– educating, connecting and energizing leaders to serve and improve the community – guides everything we do. LWS operates two programs: Flagship and INSIGHT. Our programs are all about building strong, lasting relationships with other leaders, learning more about our community, and being inspired to make a difference in our community.

LWS has 5 positions and an annual operating budget of $532,000. Currently Seeking a Director of Philanthropy

Imagine coming to work every day knowing that you are making a meaningful impact on your community, using your fundraising and financial development talents to ensure Winston-Salem is a place for all to thrive. As Leadership Winston-Salem’s Director of Philanthropy, you’ll leverage your fundraising expertise to sustain and advance our mission of empowering leaders who drive positive change. In this role, you would cultivate donor relationships, develop an annual report for the community, manage our donor database (Network for Good), plan and execute select special events and manage donor acknowledgement. Bachelor’s degree with minimum three years of non-profit fundraising experience is required as well as proficiency with MS Office. 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities, thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, excel in relationship-building, have a proven track record of engaging volunteers, and demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills. Salary range is $55,000 – $65,000 and benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance.
