Added during the 2004 revitalization, Action Learning Projects now play a key role in the program. Proposals are solicited from community organizations each year and presented to teams of class participants at Opening Retreat.

Action Learning projects are designed to transform people in ways that other training cannot. It gives participants the chance to experiment with new ideas, behaviors and beliefs. And it’s not just about learning new things and developing new skills and perspectives, but about accomplishing outcomes that positively impact our community.

Since the inception of Action Learning, more than 79 projects have been undertaken.
